Scattered across the mountains are traditional Berber villages, home to the Ait Atta tribe, one of the most respected nomadic groups in Morocco. In the open wilderness, you may also encounter nomadic families living in tents, surrounded by herds of goats and camels as they follow seasonal grazing routes. Saghro Trekking Itinerary

Day 01 : Marrakesh or Ouarzazate

Meet at Marrakech or Ouarzazate Airport and transfer to your riad or hotel.

Day 02 : Marrakech | Ouarzazate | Tagdilte

Transfer via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass to Ouarzazate, then continue through the Valley of Roses along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs and into the Dades Valley. Arrive at the village of Tagdilte, the starting point of our hike. Dinner and overnight stay at a local lodge.

Day 03 : Tagdilte | Almou n’ouareg

Our trek begins with a crossing of an arid plateau leading to a charming oasis filled with blooming oleanders. Next, we ascend to the Ifard Pass at 2,450 meters, where you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the Dades Valley and the majestic Mgoun Mountains. After soaking in the scenery, we descend to Almou n’Ouareg (2,300 meters), our first campsite for the night. This section covers approximately 6 hours of walking.

Day 04 : Almou n’ouareg | Igli

Begin the day with a climb to a small mountain pass at 2,450 meters, followed by a descent into the gorge. Then, ascend again to the summit of Kouaouch Peak at 2,600 meters, where you can enjoy stunning panoramic views of the nearby volcanic massif. Afterward, descend to Tasagdilte and continue to the camp at Igli for dinner and an overnight stay. This trek involves approximately 6 hours of walking.

Day 05 : Igli | Bab n’Ali

We continue our trek from Igli, traversing an extraordinary mineral landscape. Along the way, we pass through the traditional Berber village of Afourar before reaching the breathtaking site of Bab n’Ali, known for its towering rock formations rising over 60 meters. Dinner and overnight camping await you at this spectacular location. Expect approximately 6 hours of walking.

Day 06 : Bab n’Ali | Ighazoun

We depart from Bab n’Ali and head toward the lush palm groves of Ighazoun. After 6 to 7 hours of scenic walking, enjoy a relaxing dinner and overnight stay at a comfortable lodge.

Day 07 : Tifdassine | Handour | Ouarzazate | Marrakech

Enjoy a short 1.5-hour walk to the village of Handour, where your transportation awaits. Then, drive through the stunning palm groves of the Draa Valley en route to Agdez and Ouarzazate, before returning to Marrakech. Overnight accommodation will be at a traditional riad or hotel.

Day 8 : Hotel | Airport

Transfer to the airport. End of our services.
