Mgoun Hiking and Ait Bouguemez Valley Itinerary

Day 01 : Marrakesh

Reception at the Menara airport’s and Transfer to hotel or riad.

Day 02 : Marrakesh | Azilal | Abachkou | Rougoulte (1900 m)

Transfer eastward via Azilal, passing through the beautiful valleys of the Central Atlas Mountains. Arrive at Abachkou, the starting point of our trek, where we meet the muleteers and begin the walk to Rougoulte Village. Dinner and overnight stay at the campsite.

Day 03 : Rougoult | Idghmamen (2200 m) : 5h of walking

We begin a gradual ascent through the picturesque Assif n’Daghour Valley, passing gardens and traditional sheepfolds. Enjoy lunch on a small plateau before continuing in the afternoon toward our campsite via the Rougoulte Pass (2,500 m). Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

Day 04 : Idghmamen | Assderm pass (3100 m) | Tarkddite : 5h of walking

We ascend to the Assderm Pass (3,100 m), where we’ll enjoy panoramic views of the stunning Tassaoute Valley. From there, we cross a high plateau to reach our campsite at the Tarkddite bivouac (2,900 m). Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

Day 05 : Tarkddite | Mgoun Summit (4071 m) | Izaben (2600 m) : 8h of walking

An early morning departure begins our ascent of M’Goun (4,071 m), one of the most iconic peaks in Morocco. From the summit, enjoy breathtaking views stretching toward the Sahara Desert. We then descend to our campsite at 2,600 meters. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

Day 06 : Izaben | Arouss | Ait Ziri « Bouguemez »: 7h of walking

We descend into the dramatic Arouss Gorges, then pass through several traditional Berber villages on our way to the stunning Ait Bouguemez Valley, also known as the ‘Happy Valley.’ Dinner and overnight stay at Dar Afra Guest House.

Day 07 : Ait Bougumez | Cascades of ouzoud | Marrakesh

Transfer to Marrakech by the same tarred road, lunch at Ouzoud cascades (Waterdalls), then we carry on driving to Marrakech. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 8 : Hotel | Airport

Transfer to the airport. End of our services.
