Dades and Roses Valley Trekking Itinerary

Day 01 : Marrakesh

Reception at the Menara airport’s and Transfer to hotel or riad.

Day 02 : Marrakech | Ouarzazate | Ait Youl: 322 km

Road transfer via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 meters) to Ouarzazate, passing through the spectacular landscapes and vibrant colors of the High Atlas Mountains. Enjoy a picnic lunch along the way. Continue to the Dades Valley, crossing a vast desert plateau between the Skoura palm grove and the Valley of Roses. Arrive at Ait Youl village, where you’ll meet our mule team. Dinner and overnight stay in a traditional lodge.

Day 03 : Aït Youl | Igherm Akdim

After loading our luggage, we depart from the Dades Valley to reach the Mgoun Valley via a dry and arid plateau. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the fields near Tamgalouna village. Then, take a scenic walk along the river to the village of Ighrem Aqdem. Dinner and overnight stay at a lodge located at 1,700 meters altitude. The walk covers approximately 5 hours and 30 minutes, with an elevation gain of 600 meters and a descent of 400 meters.

Day 04 : Igherm Aqdem 1700 m | Alemdoun 1800 m

We pass through a large village renowned for its beautiful kasbahs before leaving the valley to reach Timtda village via a rugged track. Along the way, we will pass near the nomads’ caves. Enjoy a picnic lunch en route. In the afternoon, we cross a desert landscape to arrive at Alemdoun Village, situated at 1,800 meters altitude. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge. The walk takes approximately 5.5 to 6 hours, with an elevation gain of 350 meters and a descent of 250 meters.

Day 05 : Alemdoun 1800 m | Village of Boutaghrar 1500 m

We walk along the scenic Ait Hamd Valley and the beautiful Oleander Gorges (hiking sandals recommended for crossing the gorges) to reach Agouti village, known for its traditional kasbahs. Enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing to the celebrated village of Boutaghrar, located at 1,500 meters altitude. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge. The walk lasts approximately 5.5 to 6 hours, with an elevation gain of 20 meters and a descent of 300 meters.

Day 06 : Boutaghrar 1500 m | Hdida | Taberkachte 1400 m

We follow the scenic Mgoun Valley, where we encounter villagers working in their fields, and pass through beautiful villages featuring interesting traditional architecture. Enjoy lunch in Hdida village, then walk along irrigation canals and through lush gardens to reach the village of Tabarkachte. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge. The walk lasts approximately 5.5 to 6 hours, with an elevation gain of 50 meters and a descent of 100 meters.

Day 07 : Tabarkachte | Ouarzazate | Talouat | Marrakech: 320 km

We leave the Roses Valley and travel to Ait Benhaddou via Ouarzazate. Then, we continue along the beautiful Ounila Valley, passing traditional Berber villages, with a lunch stop in Telouat village. Visit the famous Kasbah of Glaoui before reaching Marrakech via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Overnight stay at a hotel or riad in Marrakech.

Day 8 : Hotel | Airport

Transfer to the airport. End of our services.
