Draa Valley and Chegaga Desert Tour Itinerary

Day 01 : Marrakesh

Reception at the Menara airport’s and Transfer to hotel or riad.

Day 02 : Marrakesh | Ouarzazate | Zagora | Oulad Driss: 460 km

Depart from Marrakech and travel through the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, reaching an altitude of 2,260 meters above sea level, on your way to Ouarzazate. After a relaxing lunch, continue the journey through the Anti-Atlas Mountains and along the lush Draa Valley, passing through the town of Zagora before arriving at the palm groves of Ouled Driss.
Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a beautifully located desert camp, an ideal setting for a peaceful evening under the stars.

Day 03 : Oulad Driss | Mhamid | Chegaga dunes: 80 km

We begin our desert adventure with a peaceful camel ride through the dunes, taking in the beauty and silence of the Sahara. After lunch, enjoy a short 4×4 transfer to the stunning dunes of Chegaga, one of Morocco’s most remote and majestic desert landscapes.
End the day with a traditional dinner and an unforgettable overnight stay in Berber tents beneath the starry desert sky.

Day 04 : Dunes of Chgaga | Taliwen

Continue your journey deep into the heart of the Sahara, surrounded by endless dunes and vast desert landscapes. After traveling 80 km off-road, arrive in the small town of Foum Zguid. From there, follow a scenic route along the Amlagou Valley, passing beautiful oases and traditional villages.
Reach the town of Taznakht, famous for its Berber carpets, for lunch, then continue the drive past the Siroua Mountains to the saffron-producing town of Taliouine. Dinner and overnight stay in a local hostel.

Day 05 : Taliwine | Tizi n’ tasste | Wergane

We depart from Taliouine, the capital of saffron, and head toward Wergane in the Marrakech region via the scenic Tizi n’Taste Pass, which rises to 2,000 meters above sea level. Along the way, we stop in the picturesque Tinmal Valley to visit the historic 12th-century Tinmal Mosque, a remarkable example of Almohad architecture.
The day ends with dinner and an overnight stay in a charming guest house featuring a swimming pool, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploration.

Day 06 : Wergane

Enjoy a free morning in the peaceful village of Wergane, with time to relax or explore the surroundings at your own pace. For lunch, experience authentic Moroccan hospitality with a home-cooked meal in a local villager’s house.
In the afternoon, unwind with a traditional hammam and a relaxing massage. Dinner and overnight stay at a charming guest house.

Day 07 : Wergane | Marrakesh

After breakfast, transfer back to Marrakech by road (approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes). The afternoon is free to explore the vibrant Medina, shop in the souks, or simply relax at your hostel.
